«litprichal.ru», a popular Russian literary portal, has posted in Russian the poems “The Mirror of the Fate” and “Just Come” by Shafiga Shafa, a young talented poetess, as part of the AzSTC project “The Latest Azerbaijan Literature in a Virtual World.”
The translator of the poems into Russian is Ilaha Feyziyeva, the Russian language specialist at the AzSTC, and the art editor is Angela Lebedeva, a Russian literary critic.
It is worth noting that «litprichal.ru», which is regularly followed by a wide auditorium of readers, publishes works by world-famous writers and poets, such as Anna Akhmatova, Nikolay Gumilyov, Evgeny Yevtushenko, Vladimir Vysotsky, Rasul Gamzatov, Oscar Wilde, Irwin Shaw, Ernest Hemingway, to name a few.
Shafiga Shafa:
- graduated from Azerbaijan University of Languages;
- from 2004 to 2018 worked for various Azerbaijani TV channels and mass media;
- author of the books “For the Sake of Those Days” and “Mixed Up Addresses”;
- winner of the contests “One quatrain” and “Bay Leaf.”
