Nizami Ganjavi’s Creativity on the Literary Portal of Argentine

“Antología poética”, the leading literary portal of Argentine, has posted in Spanish the excerpt called “The Prophet’s Praise” from the poem “The Seven Beauties” by the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, as part of the AzSTC project “Azerbaijan Literature in an International Virtual World”.

The information about the poet's work and creativity has been placed in the section “Azerbaijani Authors” created on the portal in cooperation with the State Translation Centre.

The author of the work's translation, considered one of the masterpieces of the poet’s creativity, is the well-known Spanish translator and philologist Carmen Linares.

It is worth noting that the literary portal “Antología poética”, which has a wide auditorium of readers, regularly publishes works by such outstanding writers and poets as Omar Khayyam, Victor Hugo, Edgar Allan Poe, Alexander Blok, Emily Dickinson, Boris Pasternak, Federico García Lorca, Friedrich Schiller, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Pablo Neruda.

·         the author of the poem in divan genre consisting of 20.000 beyts, and the set of five poems known as “The Khamsa”;

·         his works have been translated into various languages of the world;

·         his rare manuscript copies are preserved in many museums, libraries and manuscript funds of the world;

·         2021 was declared “The Year of Nizami Ganjavi” in Azerbaijan.
