Khurshidbanu Natavan’s Creativity on the Irish Portal
“EU Reporter”, the leading Irish cultural and news portal, has posted the article “Khurshidbanu Natavan – The last princess of the Karabakh Khanate” about Khurshidbanu Natavan, the outstanding Azerbaijani poetess, as part of the AzSTC project “Azerbaijan Literature in an International Virtual World.”
The author of the article presented with information about the poetess's life and creativity is Narmin Hasanova, the coordinator for relations with Great Britain and Ireland, and the author of the English translation of the verses “To my son Abbas”, “Beloved, how could you break the oath to me you swore”, “O flowering lilac, whose was the skilful hand that drew you?” given in the article is Dorian Rottenberg, a well-known translator.
It is worth noting that the above-mentioned portal, which has a wide auditorium of readers, regularly publishes works by such famous writers and poets as William Shakespeare, Abai Kunanbayev, Robert Burns, Annie Ernaux, John le Carré, just to name a few.
