“Selected Works” by William Faulkner Out

The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) is pleased to announce about the publication of “Selected Works” by William Faulkner, the world-famous American writer and Nobel laureate, as part of a 150-volume series “Pearls of World Literature”.

The book which begins with the article about the novel “The Sound and the Fury” written on the writer's famous literary work of the same name includes the writer's Nobel speech, the short stories “Red Leaves”, “The Tangled Fire”, “That Evening Sun”, “Dry September”, “A Rose for Emily”, “Hair”, “Jealousy”, the novel “The Sound and the Fury”, as well as the essay “William Faulkner and His Saga of Yoknapatawpha” written by the well-known translator Tehran Valiyev about Faulkner's creativity.

The authors of the translation are the notable literary translators Natig Safarov, Nariman Abdulrahmanly, Mahir N. Garayev and Etimad Bashkechid.
