Delegation Led by the Official Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the Translation Centre
The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) received a visit from Ufuk Turganer, Baku representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Jeyhan Ozyildiz, a notable writer, member of the Board of the Department of Culture at the Ministry of Tourism, Youth and Environment of Northern Cyprus, and Serkan Soyalan, a well-known poet-writer.
The meeting focused on enhancing literary ties between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus, prospects for literary exchange between the two countries, and upcoming projects aiming at promotion of literature of both countries worldwide.
It was decided to sign a Memorandum on mutual cooperation between the State Translation Centre and the Baku representation office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus regarding the organization of the planned events.
In conclusion, the honourary guests were donated the copies of the book “Karabakh Victory - Backstage of the 44 Days” by Aygun Attar, the books from the series “Pearls of World Literature” and Khazar World Literature Magazine, and the delegation, in turn, presented books and souvenirs about the history and culture of Northern Cyprus to the Translation Centre.
