Reimemaschine, a popular German literary portal, has posted in German the verse You, People of Faith, This News Is True by Imadaddin Nasimi, the outstanding poet of Azerbaijan, as part of the AzSTC project "Azerbaijan Literature in an International Virtual World."

The author of the translation of the verse presented with information about the poet's creativity is Martin Remane, a well-known German translator.

It is worth noting that the literature portal, which has a wide auditorium of readers, regularly publishes works by such famous writers and poets as William Shakespeare, Wolfgang Goethe, Friedrich Schiller, Emily Dickinson, Jane Austen, Pablo Neruda, just to name a few.

Imadaddin Nasimi

• Imadaddin Nasimi (full name: Seyid Ali ibn Seyid Mahammad Imadaddin Nasimi) was born in Shamakhi, the ancient Azerbaijani city, in 1369, and a significant part of his literary heritage was actually created in his mother tongue;

• is known by the name Nasimi;

• received his first education in Shamakhi, studied the sciences of that time, the history of religions, logic, mathematics and astronomy;

• by the decision # 211 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 7, 2019, his name was included into the list of authors whose works were declared as state heritage;

• 2019 was declared the Year of Nasimi in Azerbaijan;

• by UNESCO's decision his 600th anniversary was celebrated all over the world.
