The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre is pleased to announce the publication of the book “Les Noms divins s'ouvrent sur ton visage – Imadeddin Nassimi” (“I Have Set Myself on the Road of Truth – Imadeddin Nasimi”) in French directed to promote Azerbaijan classical literature worldwide.
The book published by Paris-based Hemispheres editions & Maisonneuve Larose Publishing House includes about 200 of the poet’s ghazals, tuyugs (a form of verse that the Turks brought to Divan poetry) and rubais accompanied by explanations and commentaries on words and expressions that are difficult to understand.
Dmitro Chistyak, a notable Ukrainian poet and translator, is the author of the translation and foreword reflecting Nasimi’s life and creativity, and Pusta Akhundova is the author of the explanations and commentaries.
