Norwegian Ambassador Visits AzTC
The Azerbaijan Translation Centre on Friday received a visit from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway Bård Ivar Svendsen to Azerbaijan, for a roundtable discussion with its Director Afag Masud.
The meeting focused on Norway’s famous prose writers, such as Henrik Ibsen, Knut Hamsun, Arvid Torgeir Lie, Tarjei Vesaas, and others, whose works were translated into Azerbaijani and published in Khazar world literature magazine, as well as Azerbaijanis’ interest in Norwegian literature. The sides also discussed future plans to translate examples of Azerbaijani literature into Norwegian and to publish the book in Oslo.
