Azerbaijan-Ukraine Literary Connections are Expanding
The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) on February 19, Wednesday received a visit from the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan,
Vladislav Kanevski.
The meeting focused on completed and upcoming projects aiming to enhance literary ties between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, such as the anthology of modern Ukrainian poetry A Man, a Woman, and an Umbrella , translated into Azerbaijani and published by AzSTC; the Anthology of Modern Azerbaijani Poetry, translated and published in Kyiv; the books titled In the Light of the Sunset and The Mystery of the Tomb by notable Ukrainian writers Vladimir Danilenko and Nikolai Khomich, and I Have Set Myself on the Road of Truth (“І шляхом І стини постав я сам...”), a book in Ukrainian to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s great poet Imadaddin Nasimi.
Later, the parties discussed upcoming projects for 2020-2025 and promotion of Azerbaijani literature on Ukrainian social networks.
In conclusion, the guest was donated a copy of the book I Have Set Myself on the Road of Truth (“І шляхом І стини постав я сам...”) published in Ukraine, translated and published by AzSTC.
