Russian Literary Magazine Posts Verses from Azerbaijan
As part of AzSTC’s (the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre) project Azerbaijani Literature in a Virtual World to promote Azerbaijani literature worldwide, Kamerton, one of Russia’s popular magazines, has posted samples from modern Azerbaijani poetry.
The April issue of the magazine includes poems by famous poets and translators, such as Parting, Necrologue by Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, The Rock by Vagif Samadoghlu, Near the Old Bridge by Vladimir Kafarov, and Azerbaijan, It is not a New Idea by Mansur Vakilov. The translators into Russian are Vladimir Kafarov, Nadiya Kafarova, Vladimir Luqovoy and Vladimir Portnov.
