Japanese Diplomat Visits AzSTC
The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) on Monday received a visit from the Education and Culture Attaché of the Japanese Embassy, Ishikawa Daiki. The meeting focused on future projects tailored to cement the literary ties between Azerbaijan and Japan and to promote Azerbaijani and Japanese literature across both countries. Both parties also agreed to prepare and publish Short Stories from Japan and a Japanese-Azerbaijani phrase book.
In conclusion, the guest was donated copies of Smiles of the Gods and The Remains of the Day by world-famous Japanese authors Akutagawa Ryūnosuke and Kazuo Ishiguro.
