Baku Eurasian University Hosts AzSTC’s Event on Translation Issues

The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) held an event at Baku’s Eurasian University on Thursday to debate issues related to the Problems of Translation İndustry.

Elmira Mammadova – Kekech, Head of the Department of General Philology, in her opening remarks, welcomed all those present to the event and commended AzSTC’s work towards overseeing and managing the use of the official language, improving the translation industry, and promoting Azerbaijani literature worldwide.

An introductory video on AzSTC followed the event.

Later, Vilayat Hajiyev, a Deputy Chair, focused on AzSTC’s recent work, including its publishing and promotion projects on an international scale.

Etimad Bashkechid, Head of the Department for Science, Education & Culture, and Kamala Alakbarova, PhD in Turkish Studies, of International Relations at AzSTC, fielded questions from the audience to the event.
