2017 Nobel Laureate’s Novel Published in Azerbaijani
The Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) has published the novel The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro, the 62-year-old British novelist of Japanese origin who is the winner of the 2017 Nobel prize in literature.
Ishiguro has became worldwide known for his works, such as A Pale View of Hills, When We Were Orphans, Never Let Me Go, etc. The Remains of the Day, published in 1989, was awarded the Man Booker Prize for Fiction in the same year. As in Ishiguro's previous novels, the story is told from a first person point of view.
The translator of the novel is Saday Budagly. The executive editor is Mahir Garayev.
