The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) is pleased to announce that an anthology titled “Short Stories from Azerbaijan” has been published in France. This collection is the continuation of AzSTC’s international project to promote Azerbaijani literature worldwide.
The publication that includes twenty eight short stories by prominent classical and contemporary Azerbaijani authors is tailored to provide a full picture of Azerbaijani literature. Starting with Abdurrahim Bey Hagverdiyev, the collection takes in, among others, Jalil Mammadguluzade, Suleyman Sani Akhundov, Mir Jalal, Ilyas Efendiyev, Isa Huseynov, Sabir Ahmadli, Isi Melikzade, Yusif Samadoglu, Anar, Movlud Suleymanlı, Shahmar, Sara Oğuz, Dilsuz, Mammad Oruj, Rafig Taghi, Kamal Abdulla, Saday Budagly, Ilgar Rasul and Sharif Aghayar.
Academician Nizami Jafarov is the author of the foreword to the anthology edited by Ghita Belgued.
