Short Stories from Azerbaijan Launched at Frankfurt Book Fair
The Frankfurter Buchmesse (FBM), the world's largest trade fair for book (Frankfurt Book Fair), has hosted the launch of Mystery, a collection of short stories from Azerbaijan, published in Germany in 2018. It is part of Azerbaijan Translation Centre’s project to promote Azerbaijani Literature worldwide.
The collection includes short stories by Jalil Mammadguluzade, Mir Jalal, Isa Huseynov, Sabir Ahmadli, Isi Malikzade, Magsud Ibrahimbeyov, Yusif Samadoglu, Anar, Elchin, Movlud Suleymanly, Kamal Abdulla, Etimad Bashkechid, Orkhan Fikretoglu.
The book was translated by German and Austrian translators, such as Lutz Engel, Helga Paul, Sena Dogan, Hilda Tanick, Marion Kubin-Semyonova, Waltraut and Wolfram Schröders.
