AzTC’s new publication: Selected Works by Miguel Delibes

The Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) has published the book Selected Works by Miguel Delibes, a popular Spanish writer.

M. Delibes is a great novelist and author of considerable number of novels: The Cypress Casts a Long Shadow (1947); The Road (1950); The Heretic (1953); The Red Leaf  (1959); Five hours with Mario (1966); Cartas de amor de un sexagenario voluptuoso (1983). He is the author of 50 books that have been translated into foreign languages. Miguel Delibes won the Spanish-speaking world's top literary award, the Cervantes Prize, in 1993. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize for his book Heretic in 1998.

The novels included in the book describe the challenges of the province Castile, realities of Franco’s regime and its impact on human psychology.

Migel Delibes is titled as the last classic of Spanish  literature of the XX century. The book  has been translated into Azerbaijani by Saday Budagly. The editor of the book is Mahir Garayev.
