The Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) is launching a new Young Authors' Award titled "New Word" to identify and promote young talents in the field of literature and to give rise to the international recognition of their works.
The best examples of poetry, prose, and essays in the Azerbaijani language will be awarded.
The contest will be held every two years. The start date for receiving the translation of works is October 2, 2015, and deadline is December 23, 2015. The winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony to be organized on May 25, 2016.
Terms:
Prose, poetry and essay are admitted.
The book size is identified as following:
Poetry:
Poem - each author shall participate only with one poem depending on its size.
Poems - up to 3 poems
Proze:
Novel - each author shall participate only with one novel not depending on its size.
Story - up to 40.000 signs
Essay- up to 20.000 signs
