AzTC Representatives Participate at CNR Book Fair
Language specialists at the Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) – Gamar Alkhanova and Kamala Alakbarova - have participated at the CNR Expo Book Fair in Istanbul.
As part of the fair, the AzTC experts spoke at the panel discussion on the theme of “Comparative Translation” organized by Turkey's Ministry of Culture, focusing on translations from examples of World Literature in Azerbaijan and Turkey, adaptions from Turkey’s Turkish into Azerbaijani Turkish, as well as the literary translation looking forward in both countries. Then a video highlighting AzTC’s activity was shown.
Addressing the event, Turkey’s Culture Ministry library chief, Hamdi Tursucu, underlined the establishment of close ties with AzTC.
Visitors took interest in the AzTC’s books, catalogues, and new issues of Khazar literary magazine displayed at the fair.
