AzTC’s New Publication: Lessons for the Professional Actor
The Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AzTC) is pleased to announce that it has translated and published the book Lessons for the Professional Actor by Michael Chekhov, a Russian-American actor and theatre practitioner.
The book includes some of Chekhov’s brilliant lectures he used to deliver at his own studio in the USA (1935-1954). The book thoroughly analyses and illuminates Chekhov’s teaching methods of psycho-physical exercises, improvisations, scene studies and high stage professionalism.
While intended for teaching theatre art, it is also useful for the general reader.
