AzTC Gets Permission to Publish Some of Orhan Kemal’s Works
Media and Publishing Consultant for the Azerbaijan Translation Centre (AzTC) Farid Huseyn has met İşık Öğütçü, the son of Orhan Kemal – one of Turkey's most prominent novelists.
During the meeting, Mr. Öğütçü said he’ll try best to grant publishing rights to AzTC to produce some of his father’s works, speaking highly of the newly- created Centre in Azerbaijan. “It's luck that there are serious institutions and organizations engaged in translation throughout the world. For example, I have recently been to China, where my father’s four books were translated and published. I want Orhan Kemal, whose works were translated into leading world languages, to be the focus of special attention in brotherly Azerbaijan. I believe that AzTC will professionally cope with this work,” he added.
