Uzbek Delegation Visits AzTC
The Azerbaijan Translation Centre (AzTC) on Wednesday received a visit from a delegation consisting of Jamal Kamal, the national poet of Uzbekistan, well-known poets - Shohrat Salamov and Akif Azalp, Professors at Tashkent State University Gulbahar Ashurova and Roza Niyazmetova, as well as Almaz Ulvi, Doctor of Philology, head of the Nizami Institute of Literature Department "Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Literary Relations” at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The meeting focused on works by famous Uzbek writers, such as Amriddin Berdimuradov, Mammadali Mahmudov, Rauf Parfi, and Muhammad Salih whose works were translated into Azerbaijani and published by AzTC over time. The sides also discussed the project to publish Nizami Ganjavi’s works translated into the Uzbek language by Jamal Kamal, and other projects to promote literary ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
