NORLA’s Senior Adviser Visits AzTC
The Azerbaijan Translation Centre (AzTC) on Tuesday received a visit from Dina Roll-Hansen, Senior Adviser at NORLA − Norwegian Literature Abroad that promotes the export of Norwegian literature.
The meeting focused on famous Norwegian authors Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, Knut Hamsun, Henrik Ibsen, Arvid Torgeir, Lie, Tarjei Vesaas, Jostein Gaarder, whose works were translated into Azerbaijani and published by AzTC over time. The sides also discussed the project to publish "An Anthology of Modern Azerbaijan Literature" in Oslo.
“NORLA contributes to translations of about 400 Norwegian books into different languages a year,” said Dina Rol-Hansen, hoping that cooperation with AzTC could boost literary ties between Azerbaijan and Norway.
